Industrial Grade PE plastic bags produced through the blown film extrusion method are manufactured by a specific process that involves creating a continuous tube of molten plastic, inflating it, and subsequently converting it into flat sheets for bag production. Here's an outline of the production process using blown film extrusion:
Polyethylene Resin Selection: The process begins with the selection of a suitable grade of Polyethylene resin that meets the specific requirements for industrial-grade plastic bags, including factors such as strength, thickness, and durability.
Blown Film Extrusion: The process starts by feeding the polyethylene resin granules into an extruder. Inside the extruder, the resin is melted and pressurized before being pushed through a circular die.
Tube Formation: The molten plastic is forced through the die, creating a continuous tube of plastic. This tube is inflated using air, creating a bubble of molten plastic.
Cooling and Sizing: As the tube is inflated, it passes through a cooling process, usually involving a water bath or air cooling system to solidify the molten plastic. The tube is then collapsed and flattened to form a lay-flat width.
Slitting and Winding: The inflated tube is slit open on one side to form a flat, continuous sheet. This sheet is then wound onto rolls for further processing.
Bag Conversion: The flat sheets are then taken to bag-making machines where they undergo additional processes such as cutting, folding, sealing, and perforating to create individual bags.
Heat Sealing and Finishing: The bags are heat-sealed at the seams or edges to create a secure closure using heat-sealing equipment. This process ensures the bags are properly sealed, maintaining the integrity and strength of the bags.
Quality Control: Throughout the production process, quality control measures are in place to ensure the bags meet required specifications, including dimensions, strength, seal integrity, and overall quality.
The blown film extrusion method allows for the efficient and continuous production of Polyethylene plastic bags, ensuring uniform thickness, excellent strength, and durability, suitable for a variety of industrial applications. These bags offer qualities such as resistance to tearing, puncturing, and flexibility, making them a reliable solution for industrial packaging needs.
